The world today is facing a major challenge. More people than ever are either displaced persons or refugees. Today, like after the Second World War, people have left their homes, searching for better days. This global refugee crisis has displaced 82 million people.

Canada has committed to helping refugees from Syria in particular. Nearly 45,000 refugees from Syria have arrived in Canada since 2015.
