Why are there no objects in this section?
You can’t take a picture of trauma. There is no object or photograph that can capture it. Suffering, loss, anguish, and heartbreak are not things that you can show. Instead, they are part of a person. Holocaust survivors carried the trauma of their experiences within themselves for the rest of their lives.
